|Krasnoperekopsk is a city in the Northern part of the Crimea, administrative center of Krasnoperekopsk district, but the part of the district, and is one of 11 cities of Republican subordination. The city is located on the shore of the lake Old to the North from the Crimean capital of Simferopol. The population of 30 thousand people, 50% Russian, 41% Ukrainians, 3% of the Crimean Tatars.
